mammoth goes global

in our short three year history we have welcomed some of the best trail runners from around the world to our event

our commitment to the overall experience of every runner in our event - regardless of age, ability, background, or competitive intent - remains the same and we will continue to foster community from the first to very last runner across our Village finish line

much like major city marathons, we believe this is a remarkable way to highlight the inclusiveness of our community and bring together the first time trail runner with legends of the sport and share the same trails on the same day

drug testing

  • absolutely! all of our races remain open to runners of all abilities, ages, backgrounds, and competitive intent. if you finish in the top five (5) of the 50K, 26K, or dba you are eligible for prize money pending drug testing

  • mammoth trailfest. will not require participation in the Quartz program from any athletes competing in mammoth trailfest. races. Quartz participation is completely voluntary and any medication, TUE, or other supplementary use must be in compliance with USADA and WADA code

Quartz is a ‘Health Monitoring Policy’ that has operated in the sport of trail and ultrarunning for more than a decade and has been used by events such as Golden Trail World Series, UTMB World Series, and the now obsolete UTWT

in the event that an athlete participating in the Golden Trail World Series is identified to be tested by Quartz for the mammoth trailfest. event, we encourage the athlete to consult their own medical team to determine if they wish to op-in to Quartz’s testing

whether an athlete opts into or out-of Quartz testing will have no impact on their ability to receive prize money, AG awards, or an official finish
